Hyperbarics and Eyesight

B.K., Los Angeles

Here's a little success story that gives another angle on what hyperbaric oxygen
might be also good for. A short story but nevertheless amazing:

"I suffered a stroke and the right side of my face was affected along with a vision loss.
After the consistent use of the mild HBOT chamber for 3 days a week for the
last few months, I feel much better. My double vision has completely disappeared.

As an even more satisfying result, I had my eyes tested and I have had a 50%
improvement in both eyes, which is not a likley thing to happen at age 55.
Needless to say, that I will continue the chamber treatments as I am impressed
 with the results."

More Applications for HBOT

Some more Info what experts found out regarding HBOT:

Neubauer and Walker point out that HBOT is widely accepted by American
doctors in the treatment of " wound healing, bone infection, carbon monoxide
intoxication, and air bubbles in the bloodstream due to decompression
sickness, open heart surgery, and other sources."1  But, unlike their European
colleagues, they have yet to recognize its value in treating "conditions such as
coma resulting from head injuries, bruising of the spinal cord, stroke, and
neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis."2 However, an increasing
number are doing so.

For example, Dr. Wise Young of the W.M. Keck Center for Collaborative
Neuroscience at Rutgers University, says that HBOT " therapy clearly has many
applications and beneficial effects for a number of medical conditions."
In 1990, the prestigious The Journal of the American Medical Association
published a study concluding that, "Overall, HBO therapy is safe and effective
for certain conditions, and well-formulated clinical trials could help extend its
use to others."3 Wounds, broken bones, and infections of all sorts have
responded favorably to HBOT, and its proponents continue to document and
promote these uses.

Hyperbaric Oxygen: Good for the brain too!

Here is some thing I found on impact of Hyperbaric treatment on
brain function:
Regarding the mental effects of HBOT, Maffetone has this to say: "There is a
relationship between lactic acid levels and depression, anxiety, and phobias. A
significant number of people using the hyperbaric chamber have reported
psychological benefits. Some of this subjective information may be placebo
effects, but the relationship between highpressure environments and mental
states is clear. High-pressure weather systems are typically accompanied by a
feeling of well being. That's why you feel happier and more energetic on sunny,
blue-sky days, as opposed to the cloudy, low pressure days when many people
are sluggish both mentally and physically."1

Hyperbaric Oxygen: More Success Stories

I like success stories. They just show that mild HBOT is helping significantly.
So here I give you 1 more:

I had Epstein Barr Virus. I was so tired I really had trouble functioning in every day life
activities. I went to an Holistic Center and they put me on some supplements that helped,
but also recommended the Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. I was a bit skeptical and did
not know if I could make the time to do it, but I was so determined to feel better that I
decided to give it a try.
The results were fantastic. I started sleeping better and my energy level really came up.
I feel so much better. The mild Oxygen Chamber became my little getaway. I really
enjoy it and it really makes a difference.
T.M., Los Angeles

A lot of people using mHBOT are reporting better sleep and more energy.
That alone is worth it to me.
